Artwork Description

Oil on canvas, stretched and ready to hang.

Signed on the front.

Using images from my Fathers home movies, from when I was a child, I like to paint a moment in time, that otherwise might never have happened. I wonder about all these people who just happened to be there when he took the footage, and who became the subject for my painting so many years later. I particularly love playing with extreme light and shade and am always striving for and hopeful that my work evokes some familiar feeling for the viewer.
