Like stills from a movie, this diptych is inspired by images in family home movies. The Entrance pool was the place for holiday makers in the 1950s including me and my family. In this painting, I wanted to evoke the laziness of lying around on the rocks, drying off after a dip, the passing swimmers and the general feeling of past summer holidays on the coast.
