Artwork Description

Growing up in a small town in Queensland. It was nothing unusual for kids to wonder around exploring, Building cubby houses down by the local creek. Forts in the long Grass. Fishing for Yabbies with a piece of string and a bit of meat from mums fridge. I was one of those kids that would walk along the dirt roads gazing up at those magnificent Gum trees, Daydreaming and probably dragging a stick. I nearly hear the sounds now as I type this, The quietness, The birds singing, the good old kookaburras laughing and the wind rustling through the tree branches. That feeling of peace and contentment…..not a care in the world. Anyway this is why I loved painting this scene from my memories. I hope you enjoy it too.

This painting would be ideal in any Room really with soft pastel tones of green and beige. It would also be an accent to brown furniture. With the tones in the bark of the gum tree.

Artist Bio

See How Janet C’s the World
Janet C is a professional Australian artist whose soul finds peace in the rhythms of nature — the rolling oceans, the quiet mountains, the woodland hush.
Her gallery is a living collection of original oil paintings, each accompanied by a certificate of authenticity. These works are not only treasures for collectors but also timeless companions for homes, spaces, and hearts.
Guided by the richness of the natural world, Janet’s brush captures seascapes, night skies, landscapes, still life, animals, firelight, and, more recently, abstract and mixed media. Gentle strokes and luminous light often lend her paintings an ethereal quality, as if nature itself whispers through the canvas.
“I paint to express my love of nature,” Janet says. Her free spirit and wild imagination — “on the inside at least,” she laughs — fuel her creativity and keep her art ever-evolving.
Her work has journeyed far beyond Australia, finding homes in Sioux City, Mexico, Spain, and across Tasmania, South Australia, New South Wales, and Queensland. Whether discovered online or in gallery exhibitions, each piece carries a story of connection.
“I hope you’ve enjoyed viewing my art. Please visit again — I am always painting, always adding to this collection.”
