Artist Bio

I am an artist based in Brisbane, Australia.

My journey into the world of art began in 2002 after I had this underlying desire to create art. Deep down I have always wanted to paint and draw - even as a child I used to love drawing animals.

I have dabbled in quite a few mediums over the years but my favourite mediums are acrylics and watercolours.

I am mainly a self – taught artist having attended numerous art classes and workshops over the years. In 2011, I completed a Pet Portraits Diploma, passing with Distinction, through The London Art College.

I started out mainly drawing and painting animals but now I paint anything that I am drawn to - be it an animal or bird, a landscape that grabs my attention, a seascape (I have always been fascinated by the sea - can watch it for hours) or a still life (I love the play of light against dark). Painting animals / birds will always be a passion of mine as I will never tire of watching an animal or bird come “alive” as I paint but there are just so many other lovely scenes /objects that beckon to be painted.
