Fantasy Peonies

An abstraction of the Peonies in my father's garden, using different colours for the individual petals of each flower.

I Started painting when I retired from full time work as a support worker. Self taught, I painted alone for two years until I felt confident enough to join a community painting class. After eight years I am still trying out different styles, experimenting with impressionism and abstract styles. I love bright colours and original colour combinations.
I enjoy portraying my local environment, the seashore and countryside Trees are particularly fascinating to me in all their stages and seasonal changes as well as the colours of the sky and clouds.
