Artwork Description

This painting depicts designs that evoke various parts of the landscape of the Australian Central Desert. The repeated curved shapes represent tali, the Luritja term for sandhills. The concentric circles represent waterholes or meeting sites and the U shapes represent women sitting around a waterhole. There are spinafex bushes, bush flowers and water courses. Beautiful country.
