My name is Janette Newman, I am a wife, mother and grandmother.
My grandfathers taught me when very young.
I paint in many styles.
I studied with the late Keith Norris, and attended Dubbo TAFE college.
I love to paint animals, modern paintings, palet knife paintings and soft watercolour paintings.
I became a Matisse Derivan advisor around 2002, I promote their products and paint exclusively with their paint, I demonstrate at the Royal Easter Show for them.
I have had many paintings featured in magazines by Express Publications.
I am a Ros Singleton Qualified Rose Painting Teacher.
I conduct classes for adult students at my home studio and have won many prizes in art shows.
I was in the finals for the Gallipoli Club of Sydney's Inaugural art show, as well as the Equine Art Show run by the Thoroughbred Breeders in Toowoomba
I won the Seniors Art Prize 2 years running in Mudgee and also the Waste to Art Prize in 2005.
I had an exhibition in 2013 in New York which was very successful.
