My paintings often emerge spontaneously while I’m immersed in music; the rhythm, mood, and energy of whatever I’m listening to flows directly onto the canvas, shaping each piece in an intuitive, freestyle dance of color and form.
This particular work, however, steps away from pure musical improvisation and instead captures the intricate, ever-shifting choreography of daily life—especially the relentless rhythm of managing a household and family. It is a visual meditation on the multitude of tasks, thoughts, and responsibilities that cascade through each day: the moment one matter is resolved, another immediately rises to take its place, like waves in an endless tide. Through layered marks, overlapping gestures, and a whirlwind of hues, the painting embodies that beautiful, chaotic navigation—the mental juggling, the constant re-prioritizing, and the quiet resilience required to keep everything in motion.
