This was my very first portrait ever. It was inspired by my own selfie picture which was then used to create this large piece. I have even kept a series of photos which depict the process behind the scenes and the many hours of layering to produce depth and texture.
Based on a photograph by Australian photographer Cam Blake, who gave me permission to use it for inspiration of the Southern Lights in Tasmania, it captures many of my favourite colours and natural elements which depict in a way the visualisation of my new visual art journey and determination to fly!
An acrylic on Canvas with black floating frame, this was my entry into the Archibald prize in 2022.
This needs a big wall space and plain background to really capture the sense and vibe of positivity, reaching goals and determination to keep on exploring your dreams.
