Janine Brewster is an Abstract Artist, Mother, and Creative Cultural Explorer, having lived in her native Germany, Trinidad and Tobago in the Caribbean, Regional Queensland, and Western Australia. Janine is inspired by the vast impressions of colours, shapes, and florals that she continues to discover.
Born in Germany in 1986, Janine developed a deep interest in painting throughout her childhood and youth. From 2000 until 2005, Janine attended the painting course entitled โArea โ Color โ Shapeโ at the Bildungszentrum Nuremberg, led by the established artists Ilse Kersten and Evelin Grohmann. The course helped Janine develop the ability to express emotions and experiences through colors and shapes, using Gouache paint and mixed media on watercolor paper. Janine went on to study both in Germany and in Trinidad and Tobago where she graduated with a Bachelor of Science (BSc) in International Tourism Management from The University of the West Indies, St. Augustine Campus.
Janine now challenges herself to paint acrylic abstract paintings with floral elements, exploring various themes, as well as intuitive abstract paintings without a prior theme or subject in mind.
