Artwork Description

Alone on a deserted Racecourse Beach, Southern NSW, a fisherman stares out to sea as he waits for a fish to take his bait. He stands resolute as the wintery skies gather.
This piece is tranquil and thoughtful, soft and yet stormy.

Artist Bio

Janine currently paints original coastal watercolours that capture place and memory and offer these back to the viewer as relatable experiences. Her intention is to represent the coastal scenes that she enjoys for others to relate to; or remember; based on their own experiences of the coast.

Janine says, "watercolour offers a beauty through its transparent colours, its fragility, and texture. It also offers challenge because of these same features."
