They weather the intermittent storms of winter to emerge colourful and friendly for the summer to welcome families and friends. Janine currently paints original coastal watercolours that capture place and memory and offer these back to the viewer as relatable experiences. Her intention is to represent the coastal scenes that she enjoys for others to relate to; or remember; based on their own experiences of the coast.

Janine says, "watercolour offers a beauty through its transparent colours, its fragility, and texture. It also offers challenge because of these same features."
