Bush Onion Story:

"Bush Onion paintings depict the story of Yuelamu and how its indigenous inhabitants shared a close connection with the land. The men and women of Yuelamu relied on the bush onion plant as bush tucker and would often travel south of Yuelamu to Kerrinyerra (Mount Wedge) in order collect and harvest the plant from the salt lakes of the Kerrinyerra region. Bush onion paintings depict the roots, flowers, and seeds of the bush onion plant, as well as the salt lakes where the bush onion plant grows".
