I studied Art History because of an interest in art which I thought initially was more about viewership but during my study I developed a practical interest in perusing the understanding of Art through practical application. This has driven my development as an artist.
I’ve classified my work as street art because when I represent a face, in my drawings, they appear as characters. They are made of symbols rather than faithfully represented. Parts of the face that are drawn are supposed to appear symbolic and familiar. These symbols are repeated to form a sum total of parts which make up the whole which is a character representation through repeated and caricatured symbolic parts of the face.
