I started drawing pictures at around 5 years of age.
By the age of 23 I had my first art exhibition at the View Factory in Newcastle and sold all my paintings on my opening night.
It was a great feeling, but another side of my art medium was also gaining momentum... I was hand painting my designs on suit jackets and denim jeans and jackets which was doing quite well, selling my "One of a kind" clothing in Oxford St, Sydney.
I ended up selling clothing to INXS, SILVERCHAIR, MIDNIGHT OIL, THE STONE TEMPLE PILOTS, CROWDED HOUSE and THE SCREAMING JETS.
Michael Hutchence wore my jeans at his WEMBELY STADIUM concert where he played to over 78,000 people.
My second art exhibition in Newcastle was once again held at the VIEW FACTORY where I sold every single framed print of my A3 size art that I still have the originals of , today...and once again the exhibition was a great success.
I started painting my art on coffee tables, which was once again, a massive hit, as you can't seem to get a decent coffee table with interesting art on it, even to this day...nobody seems to do it??
I also sold some of my suit Jackets to "HOT TUNA" in Oxford Street which sold out within 2 weeks, yet Hot Tuna were not interested in re stocking my unique hand painted "one of a kind" suits, who knows why??
I was then lucky enough to land a full time job as the head designer of and Australian jewelry company named "bico Australia" where I designed over 8000 concept drawings in 4 years, with bico turning over 100 of my drawings into jewelry pendants, and those pendants are now the best sellers in the bico range. I also designed belt buckles, leather wrist bands and unique chain link designs for them.
I left bico after 4 years as I was no longer happy with our arrangement and got back into painting and drawing my art on clothes, coffee tables and I am now currently working on a new "top secret" jewelry concept range that I hope to release on Amazon in the next 12 months.
I still have literally hundreds of designs and art to post on this website when I can find the physical time, as I am currently looking for a designer Job in fashion, but I'll keep trying to post at least 4 new art pieces a day, more if I have the time...
anyway, "A WORLD WITHOUT ART WOULD BE CHAOS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"
I hope you enjoy what you see..
Cheers..
Fletch.
