Departing the Bay

One of a series of works I’ve done based on the wonderful sight, from an accompanying ship, of tallships departing Port Phillip Bay a decade or so ago.

Jason Roberts is an Australian artist who has spent more than thirty years travelling and painting the world. He has exhibited in New York, Tokyo and London, and been commissioned by the Sultan of Oman and the Maharaja of Jodphur. His finely honed realist technique lends itself to sensitive depictions of a wide range of subjects, from animals and landscapes, to architecture, maritime art, people and botanical artwork.
