Artwork Description

This is one of my Greek ‘studies’, a series of botanical paintings from life that I completed on an extended Greek painting trip recently. Santorini is famous for the wine grown in the volcanic soil, and I painted this at a cafe on that magical island.

Artist Bio

Jason Roberts is an Australian artist who has spent more than thirty years travelling and painting the world. He has exhibited in New York, Tokyo and London, and been commissioned by the Sultan of Oman and the Maharaja of Jodphur. His finely honed realist technique lends itself to sensitive depictions of a wide range of subjects, from animals and landscapes, to architecture, maritime art, people and botanical artwork.
