I’m fascinated by the life-cycle of the rose bloom. From tiny perfect buds they sprout their elegant petals and ‘dance’ open like athletic ballerinas. As spring passes the petals continue to unfurl, until late in the season when they are fully expressed as explosions of pure colour and graceful form. This late stage was the inspiration for my painting, Primavera.
