Snow Leopard (panthera uncia)

A series of five portraits of the ‘panthera’, or big cats, this is the enigmatic snow leopard. The most endangered of the big cats, the Snow Leopard is known as the ‘ghost of the Himalayas’, and is renowned for it’s climbing agility and silent stealth.

Jason Roberts is an Australian artist who has spent more than thirty years travelling and painting the world. He has exhibited in New York, Tokyo and London, and been commissioned by the Sultan of Oman and the Maharaja of Jodphur. His finely honed realist technique lends itself to sensitive depictions of a wide range of subjects, from animals and landscapes, to architecture, maritime art, people and botanical artwork.
