Artwork Description

The various wonderful elements you find in nature are fascinating. From the distance, the up to several meters high trunk of the plant reaches towards the sky, and when you take a closer look you can see a rosette of tiny flowers of which it is shaped. The presents a macro version of the little flowers and using various painting techniques to create a relief surface.

The artwork is currently on exhibition at The bowery, St Albans, shipping will be done on the 15th of March, I hope you understand.
The contrast in the colours of the flower against the cactus makes it stand and bright up the overall painting creating a delight for the sight.

Artist Bio

Jay has worked and studied for around thirteen years in different countries including Germany, the UK, Japan and Australia. Her range of expertise is varied and ranges from illustration and painting to animation film and large scale murals.

After winning several awards as a child & teenager Jay started her career at the age of 18 as an illustrator for one of Germany's leading book publishers; the storytelling side of her talent led her to enter into the world of animation two years later. She was fortunate to be able to specialise in the field of 2D hand-drawn animation in two of the most prolific places for this genre in the world - Tokyo and Bristol.

At the end of 2014, Jay's creative passion took her to Australia where she started to gain further experience in painting murals and large scale paintings. However, her artwork still retains a storytelling magical character to it.

Nowadays she specializes in mural painting in Melbourne and Victoria in general but always excited with any artwork in general, after all, the passion and curiosity remain intact.
