Lithic Loop explores the quiet movement found in geological processes — erosion, compression, and slow repetition over time.
The flowing, continuous gesture references natural cycles rather than literal forms, allowing the work to sit comfortably between abstraction and architectural rhythm.

The restrained palette and sculptural surface are designed to interact with light and shadow, revealing subtle shifts as the viewer moves around the piece.
This artwork is intended as a calm, textural statement suited to contemporary interiors and minimalist spaces.

Each mark and ridge is formed by hand, making the surface and movement entirely unique.

Working primarily with plaster, mineral compounds, resin, and mixed media, JP Knowles creates contemporary wall works informed by decades of hands-on making and private studio practice. The focus is on tactility, organic form, and the quiet impact of material within interior spaces.
