This work explores movement through repetition and pressure, using a continuous, flowing S-curve to guide the eye across the surface. The rhythmic grooves reference natural forces such as water currents, wind patterns, and sediment flow, while the layered blue and white palette evokes coastal depth and light.
Rather than depicting a literal landscape, the piece captures the sensation of motion and calm coexisting, where energy travels slowly and deliberately. The textured surface invites close inspection, revealing variations that shift with changing light and viewing angles.
This artwork is well suited to contemporary interiors and coastal-inspired spaces, offering a sense of movement without overwhelming the room.
This work is part of an ongoing studio practice. Commissions and made-to-order variations are available. If you are interested in a different size, tone, or finish, please feel free to get in touch to discuss.
