Artwork Description

I grew in the Chittering Valley of Western Australia surrounded by beautiful Banksia. This species is also known as the Firewood Banksia possibly due to its gnarly trunk which we used to gather for firewood when a tree had fallen. The firewood banksia spikes are not single flowers and each spike carries hundreds, perhaps thousands of flowers.
