Happy Chimp makes me smile, I love the quirky expression on his face and he was fun to paint.

This original soft pastel painting is unframed, so you can choose your own frame and have it done to suit your decor. It will be carefully and correctly packaged for you and will include instructions and information about how to frame and care for a pastel painting.

Soft pastel medium feels like a creamy chalk texture and can be dusty and fragile. Pastel pigment is long lasting pure colour (the purest you can get) and, when correctly framed behind glass, it will be properly protected and retain its colour and freshness for centuries.

Always interested in art and colour, I have been painting with pastels for about 15 years. I’m a professional graphic designer and began teaching pastel painting in my local community in 2016.

My subject of choice varies between many genres including florals, animals, still life and landscapes. I choose to paint scenes and subjects that take my breath away with their beauty and I adore the way pastels blend on paper and the beautiful colours that can be made. They're delicious! Painting is my passion and I continue to learn and be inspired every day.
