Abstract Joyousness

Abstract vision of joyousness.Recently diagnosed with pancreatic cancer I have created life affirming works using collage on canvas. These works are called CELEBRATIONS. They are intended as an optimistic statement despite my diagnosis.
Sales of my works go to pancreatic cancer research and Cabrini Hospital’s Palliative Care.

I am a retired architect and a practicing artist. I teach art and portraiture in my studio and I previously taught secondary students in private schools. I have completed a number of large portrait projects for exhibition at Cabrini hospital, the Melbourne Holocaust Museum and the Maccabi Sports organisation. Since receiving a late-stage cancer diagnosis in 2022, I have been working on a series of collages that are both uplifting and life affirming. I them “Celebrations”. The works are mixed media on canvas with a predominance of colour. They represent the flow of life and are a response to my diagnosis.
