Artwork Description

“Before Your Very Eyes" by Janice Eliovson is a striking abstract work that captivates viewers with its simple yet striking construction. Using soft blending techniques this piece conveys a moody environment of orange and pink clouds and sky, set against a striking aubergine landmass. The contrast impressions movement and lifting of clouds, with the subtle changes in tone highlighting the interplay between light and shadow.
As the light fills from the base of the hillside Janice captures the magic with bold colours and her blending techniques, suggesting the powerful yet calming presence within nature.

This canvas is a one off original artwork and comes with D-rings and wire ready to hang. The piece is stretched but UNFRAMED. Sides are painted with a wrap around finish to integrate the artwork. The work is created in acrylic paint. All work has been sealed and varnished for protection.

Janice is not new to creativity. “Over the past 25 years I've explored the world as a chef, yoga teacher, natural therapist and preschool educator and have seen how each of these have influenced my voice as an artist. My strongest creative influence are my late grandmother, Sima Eliovson, an accomplished horticulturalist, author and artist, and my father who both surrounded me with a rich visual library from an early age.”
