I am used to creating large abstract colourful pieces, I wanted to try and restrict them in some way and i did this by using the white borders. By using the white i have created pockets of colour bringing your attention to each pocket one by one. I have been able to play around with the white too by using it thinly to allow some hints of what is underneath as well as mixing the white with other tones to create more depth and interest. I love how the ink comes through too giving an element of freedom.
