Jen Keates is a Sydney based artist and illustrator who's career path has always been creative working in both fashion & graphic design, and has always had a love of art and creating from childhood.
For Jen there was, and is, a strong and sensuous lure of brush, pen, pencil, canvas and paper. A personal truth that was eventually realised with the creation of her art.

Her work is inspired largely by the female form, exploring relationships & deeper connections with others, and ones self.
The female is celebrated through expressive and abstract styling & she explores many different mediums such as acrylic, oils and charcoal.
The abstraction, allows the female form to speak for itself and creates a sense of curiosity in each story without objectification. The expressive strokes of the natural form represent empowerment, and colours evoke feelings, sentiments of life.
