Dreaming Of You was named after my longing to be immersed in the rejuvenating countryside. This painting has inspiration taken from my many visits to the beautiful Victorian countryside of Red Hill on the Mornington Peninsula in Australia.

Red Hill holds a special place in my heart after literally hundreds of visits to it's tranquil rolling hills, vineyards and produce stores. In Red Hill I find true relaxation breathing the fresh gum tree and pine scented air and listening to the peaceful birdsong.

One of my favourite things to do is walk the old railway line between Merricks and Red Hill that was once used to carry fresh apples that down the hill to the markets of Melbourne. There are no trains there now only a wide trail with stunning views over Western Port and great chai tea and coffee at either end. It feels just like walking through France or Italy, there are vineyards, old farm houses, local farmers working the land and sweeping ocean views.

I've tried to capture the warmth of the day and the peaceful feeling of immersing yourself into the countryside .
