'Summer Haze' brings together all the elements of a beautiful Summer day, the blues of the sky and the blue/green of the ocean along with playful motifs of palm trees, boats and beach umbrellas. I like to bring a sense of fun into my art to engage the viewer.

Coral highlights add sparkle to this painting to complement the many shades of ultramarine blue through to turquoise. I have built up several layers of paint to add interest and some texture to the painting. Visible brushstrokes can be seen within the images and abstract shapes. 'This artwork was painted outside on a warm day and I feel that it has a sense of fun and happiness, especially with the holiday images of palm trees, beach umbrellas and boats'
