Artwork Description

The beautiful Little Egret is of tall, slender, dignified white birds moving slowly and elegantly through reeds and shallows, ever watchful for prey.  Occasionally they lunge at hapless victims with their dagger-like bills then return to their previous calm.  Little Egrets are the exception.  They are more likely to be seen leaping and prancing about, plumes flicking, wings raised, legs stirring, grabbing their prey as it flees in panic from their frenetic activity.

Watercolour - A4 (21 x 29.7cm) on 300gsm canvas paper

Artist Bio

Australian farmer and artist with a hidden disability, Functional Neurological Disorder(FND). A brain disorder that affects how the brain accesses or controls movement and perception. As a self-taught artist, I don't restrict myself to media and styles but as you'll see from my work I have a passion for watercolours. I enjoy painting all aspects of life and find myself constantly inspired by our farm in North Central Victoria and the beauty of the Australian landscape.
