Artwork Description

Inspired by burning off season in Kakadu in the background and showing new fresh growth.
The edges have been painted in white so it can be hung without a frame.

Artist Bio

I am a semi abstract artist residing in inner city Melbourne.
My painting practice is sporadic due to a Chronic Pain condition so it's classified as a hobby.
I am working on getting well so I can spend much more time on my creative endeavors.
I'm blessed to have my art as a challenge, a distraction and an escape. a type of therapy if you will.

My creative process is solitary, usually with some type of electronic music playing in the background or whilst listening to an interesting podcast.
I have an interest in Horticulture, herbalism, fermenting foods, science and all things health related.
My house is a very colourful sanctuary and I'm lucky enough to have a lovely woodland type garden.

My art is whimsical, dream like, colourful and detailed with much to discover. My paintings are a bit like opening a jewellry box filled with gems.
A distinctive style using layers of transparency, scribbles and mark making. I often feature clouds, flowers, mosses, rocks, lakes, fungi and trees.
My art comes purely from my imagination. The materials I use are alcohol inks, acrylic paints, posca pens, textas, chalk paint, inks, markers and wax pastels.
