Linocut Print on paper
Signed and numbered on the front.
I have long had a fascination with the George Baldessin 'Pear' sculpture in the foreground of the National Gallery. (they now sit in the Australian Sculpture Gardens next another favourite of mine the James Turrell 'Skyspace') A version of my pop art pears won a Highly Commended at the Waverley Art Prize in the print section, 2017. I hand print my lino prints in my studio in small batches and hand colour them. The date is the year I have hand coloured them. I am up to 84/100, the edition is almost finished. I will be kind of sad when I no longer have these Pears to paint. This is an unconventional way of printmaking.
