Artwork Description

These two prints are collographs made by hand printing from surfaces built up with various materials, into shapes and textures reminiscent of those found in the beach rocks. The inspiration comes from my local beach along Victoria's Great Ocean Road. The colours are subtle, but the prints contain a lot of interesting detail. They are sold as a pair, unframed, but can be easily framed in an inexpensive frame as shown. The size given is the approximate size of the print itself. Each piece of paper is 15X20.5cm.

Artist Bio

Note I am away on holidays from 15 September, so will not be shipping artwork until after my return on 18th October.

I have been making art for a few years now, and I'm now doing it full-time. I'm loving the artist journey, and am proud to be high on the list of Bluethumb's rising stars. I have a large array of artwork available. I paint a lot, and enjoy exploring watercolour, oil and cold wax medium, acrylic paintings and mixed media as well as printmaking. Some of my work is on paper, others canvas or board. Perhaps you'd like to click on "follow" and hear about new work as it is listed.

I sold more than 100 paintings with Bluethumb in 2025 and was included in Bluethumb's 2024 "Top emerging women artists" curation and "Notable seascape artists of 2024" curation, as well as other curations in 2025 . I take inspiration from the coastal landscape around Victoria’s Great Ocean Road, as well as more diverse landscape from travels across Australia and beyond. I love to paint expressively and sometimes abstractly to capture the feeling, colour and detail of locations. I also delve into still life, abstract portraits, urban landscapes and florals.

I am constantly adding to my art education through many classes, online and in person, and through intensive art experiences , with guidance and mentoring from many fabulous artists.

In February 2025 I retired from a long professional career working in research in the area of family studies.
