Artwork Description

Collaged prints on paper arranged into an intentional design, with added acrylic paint and drawing materials. It has been mounted onto a white stretched canva and additional painting and drawing onto the canvas to extend the artwork.

This artwork combines my love of expressive and abstract painting with that of printmaking. I took inspiration I from the Apollo Bay harbour, so there is a somewhat nautical feel to the artwork.

The prints have been mounted securely onto the canvas and finished with painting medium as well as varnish for protection. As seen, the collage itself is an irregular shape, and where additional acrylic paint or drawing was not added, the canvas has been painted white) around the edges of the collage. The sides of the canvas are painted white also, so the artwork can be hung as it is or a frame added.

Artist Bio

Note I am away on holidays from 15 September, so will not be shipping artwork until after my return on 18th October.

I have been making art for a few years now, and I'm now doing it full-time. I'm loving the artist journey, and am proud to be high on the list of Bluethumb's rising stars. I have a large array of artwork available. I paint a lot, and enjoy exploring watercolour, oil and cold wax medium, acrylic paintings and mixed media as well as printmaking. Some of my work is on paper, others canvas or board. Perhaps you'd like to click on "follow" and hear about new work as it is listed.

I sold more than 100 paintings with Bluethumb in 2025 and was included in Bluethumb's 2024 "Top emerging women artists" curation and "Notable seascape artists of 2024" curation, as well as other curations in 2025 . I take inspiration from the coastal landscape around Victoria’s Great Ocean Road, as well as more diverse landscape from travels across Australia and beyond. I love to paint expressively and sometimes abstractly to capture the feeling, colour and detail of locations. I also delve into still life, abstract portraits, urban landscapes and florals.

I am constantly adding to my art education through many classes, online and in person, and through intensive art experiences , with guidance and mentoring from many fabulous artists.

In February 2025 I retired from a long professional career working in research in the area of family studies.
