Artist is away — Artwork will have delayed dispatch

Artwork Description

Artistic quality watercolours on 300gsm cotton watercolour paper.

This lovely watercolour is all about the sky. The watercolour pigments were manipulated across the page, using water expertly to create a natural looking sky that is full of light. Below is a simple landscape, on which there is a sense of the light spilling through the clouds to fields beyond.

There is a small border on all edges that will need covering behind a mount board. It will need framing behind glass and will look best behind a matt border as shown in the in situ images. This painting will fit many standard off the shelf frames.

Artist Bio

Note I will be away on holidays for a month from 15 September and unable to ship larger works in days leading up to this so please order early to avoid a long delay. Feel free to check as I might be able to send yours even on the 15th - despite me having put myself on holiday mode.

I have been making art for a few years now, and I'm now doing it full-time. I'm loving the artist journey, and am proud to be high on the list of Bluethumb's rising stars. I have a large array of artwork available. I paint a lot, and enjoy exploring watercolour, oil and cold wax medium, acrylic paintings and mixed media as well as printmaking. Some of my work is on paper, others canvas or board. Perhaps you'd like to click on "follow" and hear about new work as it is listed.

I sold more than 100 paintings with Bluethumb in 2025 and was included in Bluethumb's 2024 "Top emerging women artists" curation and "Notable seascape artists of 2024" curation, as well as other curations in 2025 . I take inspiration from the coastal landscape around Victoria’s Great Ocean Road, as well as more diverse landscape from travels across Australia and beyond. I love to paint expressively and sometimes abstractly to capture the feeling, colour and detail of locations. I also delve into still life, abstract portraits, urban landscapes and florals.

I am constantly adding to my art education through many classes, online and in person, and through intensive art experiences , with guidance and mentoring from many fabulous artists.

In February 2025 I retired from a long professional career working in research in the area of family studies.
