This colourful painting is inspired by a photo I took as the sun rose and shone the day's first rays on a rock formation called Sitting Bull at Arkaroola. It is painted very expressively, as using water-based paints on synthetic paper, there is less control and so intuition is used to guide the paint into the desired composition. The painting would be best framed behind glass and would look lovely with a matt border as shown in the in situ photos.
