This painting is an abstracted landscape painting and is from a day at Stubbs waterhole, at Arkaroola, a wildlife sanctuary in the north of the Flinders Ranges, South Australia. This is one of a series painted at Arkaroola at a week-long art workshop. This painting was started outside, with a view of the rocky pinnacles from the dry creekbed. It was further developed in the studio on site in Arkaroola before finishing back at home.
The painting does not need to be framed behind glass so it can be framed in a simple platform frame or box frame - see Bluethumb's framing options. You may choose to frame it behind glass and it will look lovely with a wide mount board as in some of the in situ photos.
