Artist is away — Artwork will have delayed dispatch

Artwork Description

This fun many layered painting captures the greens and blues of summer, markmaking and shapes taking you for a walk through an abstracted wet landscape, lots of blues suggesting puddles everywhere.

The painting has been created through many layers of acrylic paint, with some drawing media, on a ply panel. It is very textured. This painting is also listed unframed, as are 2 other unframed paintings in this series "Jumping summer rain puddles" and "Big puddles small puddles".

The artwork has been framed in a lovely timber "St Ives" frame that is finished with a white wash.

Artist Bio

Note I will be away on holidays for a month from 15 September and unable to ship larger works in days leading up to this so please order early to avoid a long delay. I might be able to send yours even on the 15th - despite me having put myself on holiday mode.

I have been making art for a few years now, and I'm now doing it full-time. I'm loving the artist journey, and am proud to be high on the list of Bluethumb's rising stars. I have a large array of artwork available. I paint a lot, and enjoy exploring watercolour, oil and cold wax medium, acrylic paintings and mixed media as well as printmaking. Some of my work is on paper, others canvas or board. Perhaps you'd like to click on "follow" and hear about new work as it is listed.

I sold more than 100 paintings with Bluethumb in 2025 and was included in Bluethumb's 2024 "Top emerging women artists" curation and "Notable seascape artists of 2024" curation, as well as other curations in 2025 . I take inspiration from the coastal landscape around Victoria’s Great Ocean Road, as well as more diverse landscape from travels across Australia and beyond. I love to paint expressively and sometimes abstractly to capture the feeling, colour and detail of locations. I also delve into still life, abstract portraits, urban landscapes and florals.

I am constantly adding to my art education through many classes, online and in person, and through intensive art experiences , with guidance and mentoring from many fabulous artists.

In February 2025 I retired from a long professional career working in research in the area of family studies.
