At our beach, there are rocks of all shapes and sizes along the seashore. They sit atop the sand and peek out from under it. Every day, the push and pull between sand, rocks and sea changes. This abstracted painting has all three elements, with the movement of the water captured against the solidity of the rocks. It has been framed in a white solid wooden platform frame.

Artist Bio
Please see my "On sale" series (see "series" tabs) for works currently on sale.
I am an emerging artist and have been fortunate to be included in Bluethumb's 2024 "Top emerging women artists" curation and "Notable seascape artists of 2024" curation . I take inspiration from the coastal landscape around Victoria’s Great Ocean Road, as well as more diverse landscape from travels across Australia. I love to paint expressively and sometimes abstractly to capture the feeling, colour and detail of locations. My work includes a range of media, including acrylics, watercolour and printmaking.
While I have no formal art education, , I have expanded my art education through many classes, online and in person, and through intensive art experiences , with guidance and mentoring from many fabulous artists.
When not painting, I have a professional career working in research in the area of family studies.
