Artwork Description

This gently painted landscape has been painted using beautiful watercolours on 100% cotton lovely delicate 300gsm watercolour paper.

The abstracted scene has been painted in a minimalist style, but layers of watercolour have been built up so the effect is subtle and quiet.

This painting will need framing behind glass or similar and will look perfect with a matt border as shown in the in situ images. There is a small border of about 2cm around the painting. The painting itself is 34cmX48cm.

Artist Bio

Note I will be away on holidays for a month from 14 September and unable to ship larger works in days leading up to this so please order early to avoid a long delay.

I have been making art for a few years now, and I'm now doing it full-time. I'm loving the artist journey, and am proud to be high on the list of Bluethumb's rising stars. I have a large array of artwork available. I paint a lot, and enjoy exploring watercolour, oil and cold wax medium, acrylic paintings and mixed media as well as printmaking. Some of my work is on paper, others canvas or board. Perhaps you'd like to click on "follow" and hear about new work as it is listed.

I sold more than 100 paintings with Bluethumb in 2025 and was included in Bluethumb's 2024 "Top emerging women artists" curation and "Notable seascape artists of 2024" curation, as well as other curations in 2025 . I take inspiration from the coastal landscape around Victoria’s Great Ocean Road, as well as more diverse landscape from travels across Australia and beyond. I love to paint expressively and sometimes abstractly to capture the feeling, colour and detail of locations. I also delve into still life, abstract portraits, urban landscapes and florals.

I am constantly adding to my art education through many classes, online and in person, and through intensive art experiences , with guidance and mentoring from many fabulous artists.

In February 2025 I retired from a long professional career working in research in the area of family studies.
