Born 1964, Australian Artist Jennifer Kirkwood lives on the Central Coast of NSW.
Jennifer comes from a rich family history in the Arts. Jennifer's grandmother was a Shelley. From the family line of Sir Timothy Shelley and half brother of the poet Percy Bysshe Shelley. Percy Bysshe Shelley (d: 8 July 1822) was one of the major English Romantic poets, and is regarded by some as among the finest lyric, as well as epic, poets in the English language. A radical in his poetry as well as in his political and social views. Shelley was a key member of a close circle of visionary poets and writers that included Lord Byron; Leigh Hunt; Thomas Love Peacock; and his own second wife, Mary Shelley, the author of Frankenstein.
Jennifer is an artist, poet, writer and visionary.
Jennifer's works in oil on canvas capture the coastal vibe of Sydney's Eastern beaches including iconic Bondi Beach and the fauna and flora found in NSW. Jennifer has resided in NSW, Victoria and FNQueensland and holds a BSoc/Sci from James Cook University, Townsville majoring in Asian Studies and Political Science. She also studied Colour and Design at Melbourne School of Art.
