‘Go Easy’ has become my new mantra. I need to slow down, move with purpose and forgive myself for not being as productive as I once was.
After a very long year of health battles, this painting reminded me to just go easier on myself. Lower my expectations, sit quietly with myself rather than rush around trying to accomplish 100 things at once. I need to slow down or I’ll hurt myself….again and again and again. I have a very loud and often infuriating inner dialogue and I think she is now yelling at me to ‘GO EASY! SLOW DOWN!’ My inner dialogue needs some assistance with keeping me in check.

This work is very bold, yet still and contemplative. With my favourite colour - Prussian Blue being used predominantly throughout, blended with subtle soft peach / tumeric with hints of turquoise, emeralds and grey it’s a piece that you find more interesting the closer you look. I don’t even know how many layers of colour are in this piece as I lost cost. I usually use approx 30 layers - and I believe this one has more. The layers of colour bring it to life. They create small vignettes within the painting.

‘Go Easy’ would suit a variety of design styles. It is very flexible.
This piece is currently un framed with a Prussian Blue painted edge. It would look stunning framed to suit your decor or leave as is. There’s no need to add a frame if you should choose not to.
The painting is very subtly signed on the front but full signature and authentication is on the back.
