“Sunny Somedays” 🌞 has taken some time to come to fruition. Life gets busy. Veggies need planting, work needs doing, dogs need tending to.

I’ve been so busy with other things in life that I was feeling stuck. Add in health issues and Inspiration wasn’t coming. Finally I decided to just paint. Not think, not try, but just paint. I pulled out a few tricks that I used to use when I first started painting 20 years ago (where did 20 years go?) and this piece came to life. It was a brain dump. A creativity dump. I just started making messes and enjoy the process of getting colour on canvass. Through the process, of course refinement comes in to over-rule the mass of mess and colour but goodness it was fun!

Up here in QLD it’s been wet. Soggy, muddy, wet. Each day has been filled with grey skies and the occasional promise of a fine day. I think I just needed some cheerful colour! It’s brightened my spirits and given me a spring in my step. It’s joyful and lively and filled with rich texture and soooo many juicy layers.
