Artwork Description

"Inferno's Embrace" transports viewers to the heart of a volcanic eruption. This captivating painting bursts with rich warm tones that mimic the intense fires burning within the center of a volcano. The canvas comes alive with a harmonious blend of magenta, yellow, brown, and red, creating an aura of fiery intensity.
From the epicenter of the artwork, molten lava flows across the canvas, its sinuous paint streams resembling the unstoppable force of nature. The chaotic dance of colors and fluidity of the composition are reminiscent of the raw power and primal beauty of a volcanic eruption. "Inferno's Embrace" is a testament to the artistry of chaos, where nature's most formidable forces are captured in a visually stunning and emotionally evocative form.

Artist Bio

Recently a good friend reminded me of how much we enjoyed painting at high school. This love of creating has inspired me over my lifetime, leading me in many directions but always with the same desire in mind - to create something beautiful which will promote joy and a conscious sense of well being in others while at the same time enhancing the space in which it is displayed.

Growing up in the country, one of my favourite pass times was to collect flowers to preserve and later create artworks or floral arrangements from them. Years later I studied floristry which became a very enjoyable hobby. Further studies in interior, furnishing and landscape design taught me valuable skills which, annexed to my floristry skills, were very useful in my career as a Property Developer. Tremendous satisfaction was gained from transforming boring, tired rooms and making them come alive with a new paint job and by adding furniture which suited the space together with creative features and artworks. Additionally I became proficient in creating beautiful landscapes outside which made an incredible difference to each property. The experience gained later working in the construction industry where I had opportunities to design rooms (including colour selection, fixtures and fittings), houses and outdoor patios was also a great skill developer. Over a period of 40 years I learned a great deal about harmony of design, use of colours and textures in combination and many other skills which I find helpful in creating artworks today.
I consider myself very blessed to be able to indulge myself in my passion of painting and look forward to many further years of creativity.
