My artistic path has been ever evolving with experience in photography, ceramics and painting. In recent years after painting in a traditional realistic style of florals and birdlife I turned my attention to abstract work. Learning and experimenting along the way.
I have completed a short course in abstract art at the National Art School and also I have had the opportunity to attended several workshops with both Australian and international artists. I have exhibited in Group Exhibitions in and around Sydney.
I paint intuitively allowing the painting to develop with freedom through many layers. It may start with a sweeping brushstroke and a selection of colours based on my feelings at the time but the works change many times before completion. I enjoy experimenting and playing with unconventional tools to apply paint. Working with artist quality acrylics my work displays vibrant colours and textures, as well as emotion.
I love how abstract art, can start a conversation and is assessed differently by every viewer.
Take this opportunity to liven up your living space with one of these works.
Art both viewed and created is nourishment for the soul.
