Jenny Charters is an Irish‑born, Australian‑inspired artist whose work blends global design sensibilities with a deep connection to place. After more than twenty years working in the beauty and lifestyle worlds across Ireland, the UK, Europe and Australia, a life‑threatening illness drew her back to one of her earliest and most enduring passions: making art.
Influenced by international design and fashion culture — particularly her years in London and Melbourne — Jenny brings an instinctive understanding of contemporary style to her practice. Her work reflects the interplay of colour, light and texture found in the ocean, the landscape and the lived environments that shape her sense of home.
Jenny is currently developing the Hinterland Collection, a body of contemporary abstract works inspired by the colour, movement and atmosphere of the Gold Coast hinterland.
At the heart of everything is family. As mum to Archie, Freddie, Poppy and Buddy (the furry son), Jenny creates art with boldness, vitality and warmth — pieces designed to sit comfortably in a family home or any space that brings people together.
