Artwork Description

Eucalypt Ridge is an abstract landscape inspired by the soft greens, layered textures and quiet rhythms of the Gold Coast hinterland. Gentle blocks of eucalyptus hues, muted blues and warm blush tones drift across the canvas, creating a sense of elevation and light — like moving through ridgelines at first sun.

This piece forms part of the Hinterland Collection, a series exploring the meeting point between coastal atmosphere and inland calm. Each work responds intuitively to colour, movement and place, capturing the feeling of filtered air, shifting light and the natural balance found in the landscape.

Finished in a natural timber frame, Eucalypt Ridge brings a grounded but uplifting presence to any space, offering a moment of calm that blends seamlessly with contemporary interiors.

Artist Bio

Jenny Charters is an Irish‑born, Australian‑inspired artist whose work blends global design sensibilities with a deep connection to place. After more than twenty years working in the beauty and lifestyle worlds across Ireland, the UK, Europe and Australia, a life‑threatening illness drew her back to one of her earliest and most enduring passions: making art.

Influenced by international design and fashion culture — particularly her years in London and Melbourne — Jenny brings an instinctive understanding of contemporary style to her practice. Her work reflects the interplay of colour, light and texture found in the ocean, the landscape and the lived environments that shape her sense of home.

Jenny is currently developing the Hinterland Collection, a body of contemporary abstract works inspired by the colour, movement and atmosphere of the Gold Coast hinterland.

At the heart of everything is family. As mum to Archie, Freddie, Poppy and Buddy (the furry son), Jenny creates art with boldness, vitality and warmth — pieces designed to sit comfortably in a family home or any space that brings people together.
