Drinking Buddies

This is quite a quirky work portraying beautiful Australian Gang Gang parrots atop of two coke cans.
I love Australian birds and most of my works contain birds in realistic settings but sometimes I love to add a little whimsy by placing them on cans, teacups, teapots and other objects.
This work is created on Fabriano 300gsm Hot Press Cotton/watercolour paper 11.7 x 16.5 inches in size, Gouache/watercolur medium.
This artwork is unframed and will be sent packed flat in cardboard sleeve

I am a self-taught Artist and have loved painting since I was a child. I live and work full-time on the family owned and operated farm in Southern NSW, however I love to paint in my spare time, mostly at night and weekends.
I have worked in many mediums, my favourite is Impasto/Acrylic, I adore the texture and am also drawn to bright vibrant colours. Living in the country inspires me everyday, so many great subjects such as Cattle, Landscapes, Sunsets, Flowers and a my favourite by far are Birds, I am a self confessed "Birdnerd".
My favourite pass time (Painting) has become an escape from the everyday and every spare moment I have, I can be found at my Easel.
