There is a row of trees at our local park... it looks quite ordinary during the day. In the hour before sunset - the golden hour - the light creeps through the gaps in the trees and the shadows stretch across the field, trying to reach you before they disappear... in this window of time, this fairly ordinary row of trees becomes something magical. This painting, kept in a loose style with lively brushwork, aims to capture the feeling of that moment in time.
