Artwork Description

On a bright yet overcast morning, we walk through the overgrown track where the train line once was, to the tunnel. The slick of muddy water reflects gentle light and the blackberries are plentiful. As we approach the tunnel, the light at the end seems so bright, and the clouds start to clear up in the distance. A metaphor worth putting on canvas.

Artist Bio

Jesyka is an artist local to the south west of western Australia, preferring mediums of acrylic and oil on canvas, and occasioning in earthenware sculpture. Jesyka takes inspiration from the vast complexity and textural diversity of nature, and the memories made when exploring the country side with family and friends. Being in nature often gives time to reflect on many things and, with the belief that art and nature and entwined, creating gives the feeling of connectedness.
